Cloughside College was taken out of special measures and rated as GOOD in June 2014. We are so proud of this achievement - one that not many schools in special measures achieve in just over a year! In the academic year 2013-14, only 3 other schools in the country achieved this.

The school had been placed into special measures in March 2013. The new Headteacher, Farzana Shah, took up post in April 2013. We were taken out of special measures on our 4th monitoring visit, having had termly inspection monitoring visits. The Ofsted grading is testament to the hard work of staff, students, governors, Bury Council, GMW NHS Trust and the wider multi-disciplinary team. We are delighted with the grading and will continue to not only sustain but improve further the high standards that our students deserve.

All of the Inspection documents can be found on the Ofsted website Ofsted.gov.uk.

As well as through school events and questionnaires, parents and carers have the opportunity to submit their views via Parent View which is linked to the Ofsted website.
